Branch Hill Joinery - Quality, custom crafted furniture & cabinetry

Natural, handmade furniture and cabinetry at its best
Branch Hill Joinery is dedicated to building high quality, hand tooled, custom furniture and cabinetry using solid woods along with traditional old-fashioned carpentry. Designs are primarily created in a simple Shaker, Mission, or Craftsman style, expressing the themes of Amish life: simplicity, unity, grace, and devotion.

A unique partnership is formed
Over fourteen years ago, Anna Gordon went in search of quality built solid wood furniture. After several misses, she finally discovered a very talented Amish cabinetmaker near Coldwater who was dedicated to building exceptional custom furniture by hand. What started as a small project became an unexpected partnership resulting in the creation of Branch Hill Joinery.

An Affordable luxury
Branch Hill Joinery offers you the natural beauty and enduring value that handmade cabinetry and furniture can bring to your home.  Custom furniture for any room of the house, as well as kitchen cabinetry, is also surprisingly affordable because you are dealing directly with the builders.  The company, that now includes five craftsmen, operates out of her farm workshop near Coldwater and also a small office in Ann Arbor.

Exceptional Construction Methods
Anna Gordon meets and works with each client individually to assure each piece or project is designed and built to your exact specifications. Their specialty is matching architectural styles using sustainably harvested woods supplied by a small locally owned mill. Using traditional methods including dovetailing, mortise and tenon joints and wooden pegs, they produce furniture and cabinetry of superior quality exuding strength, beauty and integrity. The finishing touches involve hand tooling and natural, non-toxic oil finishes that are satin to the touch and easy to maintain. Finally, each piece is authenticated with the signature of the Amish artisan.

Clients are welcome to visit the workshop while their piece or project is being built and meet the Amish craftsmen.  It is a unique opportunity to experience the construction process. To learn more, please refer to their web site at www.branchhill.com or call Anna at (734) 994-5646.
