A homegrown business
Our love affair with beer began in 1991 with our first batch of homebrew. Eventually the brewing operation took over our kitchen and basement and we decided it was time to look for larger digs.  So with the help of family and friends, we opened the Arbor Brewing Company Pub and Eatery in Ann Arbor, MI in 1995 with the goal of making great beer and creating a comfortable, community-oriented, neighborhood pub in which to enjoy it.

Ten years and a couple million pints later, we decided it was time once again to get some bigger tanks.  So we built the Corner Brewery and Beer Garden a mile up the road from our house in Ypsilanti to brew and bottle our award-winning beers for distribution. 

Brewing up community
The Corner Brewery is a pub created in the time-honored tradition of the public house.  An authentic neighborhood pub is all about community.  It is where friends, families, and neighbors gather to celebrate birthdays, weddings, and milestones; to grieve together over losses; to organize and protest; and to enjoy each-other’s company.

Corner Brewery provides a venue for hundreds of non-profit events like a seminar on solar energy, an indie music festival, and fundraisers to protect affirmative action and women's reproductive rights.  We have hosted town halls and candidates forums.  We have raised money for a high school band, a local arts center, and a neighborhood pool. And we’ve gathered with friends to celebrate births, deaths, weddings, and graduations.

We absolutely love the connection we have with our community. As local business owners and neighbors, we understand that we're all in this together and the more we put into our community, the more we all benefit.
