Come meet long-time Environmentalist and author Mike Nickerson at Nicola’s Books in the Westgate Shopping Mall Tuesday, July 15th @7:00pm. Mr. Nickerson, a founding member of the Canadian Green Party will discuss his new book “Life, Money & Illusion: Living on Earth As if we Want to Stay”.

New Executive Director Announced

The Think Local First Board of Directors announces the selection of its new Executive Director, Ingrid Ault. “We are excited to welcome Ingrid Ault as our new Executive Director. We had a very competitive selection process, and Ms. Ault stood out because of her enthusiasm and knowledge about locally owned businesses. We look forward to continuing to grow and expand with Ms. Ault as our Executive Director,” says Rich Bellas, Board chair of Think Local First.

Ingrid is a native to Ann Arbor who has been an ardent supporter of local businesses. Her work experience has been in a variety of locally owned businesses primarily in the Ann Arbor area. She is excited to begin work with the organization. She served as the Interim Director for the Ypsilanti and Depot Town Downtown Development Authorities in 2006, and recently has been completing her Masters degree in Urban Planning at EMU.

"I would like to thank the board of directors for their warm welcome and faith and confidence in hiring me as the new Executive Director of Think Local First. I am thrilled to be taking on such a crucial role in our community's development," says Ms. Ault.
