Locavorious has partnered with several small farms in the communities around Ann Arbor. We offer frozen produce subscriptions, similar to shares offered by community supported agriculture (CSA) farms. During the peak harvest, we prepare and package local produce at its peak freshness, and preserve it in a community freezer. During the winter months, members can pick up their share of the frozen harvest periodically at designated locations. Locavorious shares can include asparagus, blueberries, red raspberries, stewed tomatoes, sweet corn, sugar snap peas, winter squash puree, summer squash, red peppers, green and yellow beans, edamame, peaches, broccoli, cauliflower and other  "gourmet goodies" from the harvest.  With a Locavorious subscription, you get delicious, healthy and locally grown food for the winter months plus you help achieve a larger mission of promoting sustainable food systems, reducing the energy consumption and carbon footprint of current food distribution, and preserving family farms.
