APEC Endorses WTO Call for Harmful Fisheries Agreement …

WASHINGTON, June 5 (Reuters) – Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) trade group ministers on Saturday said they supported the World Trade Organization chief’s call for a “comprehensive agreement and significant “on harmful fisheries subsidies by July 31.

“As a group, APEC economies support WTO Director-General’s calls for WTO fisheries subsidies negotiations to reach a comprehensive and meaningful deal with effective disciplines on subsidies harmful to fishing by July 31, 2021, “they said in a statement.
