Maroon 5, Usher as a benefit to honor Rep. John Lewis

Maroon 5 and Usher will headline a benefit concert in Atlanta to honor the legacy of the late U.S. Representative John Lewis.
The Grammy Award-winning pop group and singer will perform at the Beloved Benefit at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on July 7, concert officials announced Thursday. The event has been postponed from its original date in February due to COVID-19 concerns. Host and NBC Sports correspondent Maria Taylor will be the emcee for the event.
In addition to performances by Usher and Maroon 5, the benefit concert will feature a program filled with inspiring community stories. The money raised will be distributed to several non-profit beneficiaries who prioritize economic and community development.

The beloved performance was inspired by the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision of a beloved community where people work together to solve social problems ranging from racism and poverty to hunger and homelessness. .
